Fire Chief, Ryon Pratt met with the Board for the purpose of introducing the newest members of the Department. Noted that due to retirements and one firefighter moving to another state, there were three vacancies created in the Department. Introduced Derek Avery, James Reidy and Phillip Woolf.

Each of the firefighters gave a brief summary of their background and reasons for joining the Department.

Chief Pratt informed the Board that the three firefighters would be attending the Brockton fire Academy for their 15 weeks of training. Noted that this is a very intense training course. Noted that the Town was very fortunate to be able to have our men attend the Brockton Academy; noted that Brockton runs their own training and that the State Fire Academy in Stowe has a backlog and our men would not have been able to complete training for quite awhile. Also noted that there is no charge for attending the Brockton Academy.

Board members welcomed the new firefighters and noted how pleased they are to see new faces on both the Police and Fire Departments.
