Selectmen's Minutes 8/2/04
The weekly meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on Monday evening, August 2, 2004 at 7:30 p.m.

Present:        Eric Greene, Chairman
                David Walsh, Clerk
James M. Hardy
                George Samia, Town Administrator
                Catherine Johnson, Senior Clerk
                John Stuebing, Town Counsel

Tim Harhen and Michael Lawler of the East Bridgewater Professional Firefighters Association were present to request permission to have a Fill the Boot fundraiser for MDA on Saturday, August 21, 2004, with a rain of August 28, 2004 in the Center of Town.

M/Walsh, s/Hardy, a unanimous vote, approve the request of Tim Harhen and Michael Lawler of the E.B.P.F.F.A. for permission to have a Fill the Boot fundraiser for MDA on 8/21/04 in the Center.

Action Items

M/Walsh, s/Hardy, abstain – Walsh, vote to approve the minutes of the July 28, 2004 meting.

M/Walsh, s/Hardy, abstain – Greene, voted to approve the appointment of Eric Greene to the Plymouth County Advisory Board for the period of July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005.

M/Walsh, s/Hardy, a unanimous vote, approve the request of Betsy Pomfred for use of the Town Hall front lawn for a memorial ceremony on September 12, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in honor of Craig Miller who lost his life on September 11, 2001.

Open Forum

No one present

m/Hardy, s/Greene, a unanimous vote, move to close Open Session and go into Executive Session for the purposes of discussing litigation issues, deployment of security personnel and non union labor and will not be returning to Open Session.
VOTE:  Yes – Greene, Walsh, Hardy; a unanimous vote in favor.
