Reading of Minutes: The meeting minutes of March 12, 2002 were accepted unanimously.
Demolition Applications: 34 and 54 West Street There are no substantive reasons to delay. Ms. Kispert recused herself from discussion of these properties because they abut her property. Ms. Himes moved that the Historical Commission approve the application for demolition. Ms. Hall seconded. Ms. Sheehan, in a teleconference, offered her vote and the motion carried 3 in favor, one recused.
30 Ocean Ave. Ms. Morse has sent a number of email messages. There is a party interested in purchasing the house and moving it to a property on Priscilla Ave. There was considerable discussion about the logistics. A number of questions must still be answered and some information verified. Ms. Kispert will contact Peter Butkus and Sharon Howard (prospective purchaser). She will also make an intermediate response to Ms. Morse apprising her of our actions.
New Applications: 397 Washington Street (Batelle Labs). The application appeared to lack complete documentation of the history of the property. Ms. Kispert will contact James Pye, Esq. to determine why the title search began with 1905. A walk through will be scheduled after the amended documents or a reasonable explanation has been received.
318 Autumn Ave. Built in 1950. Ms. Kispert will sign off.
51 Shipyard Lane. 1920 Garage. No application was received. A note was received expressing a desire not to have to go through “the process”. Ms. Kispert will inform the Department of Inspectional Services that there are NO EXCEPTIONS.
Public Relations: Ms. Himes will send notice of the April 25th meeting to the Clipper. She will also send a letter containing the Quarterly Report to the editor. Postings will be place on the Town Web Site. Further discussion of public relations will be held on April 25.
Action Items: Ms. Himes will check web sites: oldhouse.com, isellmyhouse.com and print an email forwarded to her by Ms. Kispert that contains pictures of 30 Ocean Ave. She will also contact Bridget O’Keefe regarding warrant articles that might be included in the proposed zoning changes developed by CZBIC as well as contact the Office of the Selectmen to see who our new liaison is.
Ms. Hall will take current applications to the Director of Inspectional Services and remove all old applications.
