FY12 Employee Evaluation Notices
On behalf of the Town Manager I am distributing the attached memo, schedule and evaluation tools. This week, please distribute the ‘Accomplishments’ and ‘Self Evaluation’ forms to Management and Non-management Personnel Plan employees, and explain that these forms are due back to supervisors by April 20, 2012. 

A performance evaluation training has been scheduled for Personnel Plan employees and supervisors on April 9 at 10AM, location information to follow.

All Personnel Plan employees in the; Management, Non-management and Schedule A, B and R compensation schedules we will be evaluated, regardless of how many hours worked per year.  (These positions are listed at the end of this memo and Personnel Plan.) Also, new employees hired between May 1, 2011 - March 31, 2012 will be eligible for a pro-rated merit increase based on the time worked during this review period. Please note merit based salary increases are not available to Compensation Schedule A or B employees. 

Returning seasonal employees under Compensation Schedule R remain eligible for a performance evaluation and merit increase based on their work performance from May 1, 2011 – March 31, 2012.  Remember, each department’s budget must provide any recommended merit based pay increase, and it must be relational to the individual’s evaluation rating.

Supervisors are responsible for completing the attached ‘Expanded Performance Evaluation Form for Management Employees’ and/or ‘Streamlined Town of Duxbury Performance Evaluation Form For Personnel Plan; Non-management Full and Part-time (<20 hours), Schedule A, B, R (Seasonal and Intermittent) Employees’. (This one page form will be used for all positions not listed in the Management Compensation Schedule of the Personnel Plan.)

Each completed performance evaluation must be submitted to Jeannie Horne by June 1, 2012 (for approval, signature and processing) along with a personnel action request form for employees who are eligible for a merit increase.
