A meeting of the Duxbury Bay Management Commission was held at the Duxbury Senior Center at 7 pm.

Duxbury Bay Management Commission (DBMC):
Other Guests:
I. Aquaculture Report
With regards to the aquaculture report being submitted to the selectmen, J. Brawley indicated that Chart #2, which depicts the areas where wild fishermen dig for shellfish, is still in progress. Another meeting with wild fishermen may be necessary because the boundaries are slightly vague. S. Dahlen emphasized that Chart #2 is state-produced and that J. Brawley is bringing the chart up-to-date with anecdotal evidence of digging areas. The charts also need to be relabeled because the captions are being cut off. C. Wisneski volunteered to relabel charts and make sure the text references match the charts.
Further edits to the aquaculture report included word changes, emphasizing the environmental and economic positive nature of the aquaculture industry, and other minor changes.
A motion was made and seconded to present the aquaculture report as it stands to the Board of Selectmen.
II. EOEA RFP
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA) released a Request for Reponses (RFR) for Volunteer Monitoring Assistance Grants. J. Brawley suggested that the DBMC respond with a proposal for a water quality monitoring project. The proposal would require developing a Quality Assurance Project Plan and receiving letters of recommendations from a variety of Town committees and commissions. J. Brawley volunteered to pursue this opportunity.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:05 pm
Respectfully submitted,
Corey Wisneski
Secretary
