The Conservation Commission held a meeting in the Mural Room, Lower Level of Town Hall on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 beginning at 7:00 p.m. Members present included Samuel Butcher, Dianne Hearn, Barbara Kelley, and Holly Morris. Chairman Joseph Messina, Thomas Gill and Corey Wisneski were absent. Mr. Butcher was Acting Chairman. Also present was the Conservation Administrator Joe Grady.
PH, DUNLAP, 724 TEMPLE STREET, POOL, SE 18-1518
The applicants, Leland Scott Dunlap and Molly Powers were present for the discussion. The proposed project is to install an in-ground swimming pool in the buffer to bordering vegetated wetlands. The project conforms to the regulations. Ms. Hearn made a motion that was seconded to issue Orders of Conditions for SE 18-1518. The vote was 4 – in favor; 0 – opposed. Motion passed.
ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
The Commission reviewed requests for Certificates of Compliances for SE 18-1390 (51 Clearwater Dr.); SE 18-1312 (39 Bay Pond Rd.); SE 18-1388 (46 Landing Road); SE 18-1464 (174-178 Marshall St.). The Conservation Administrator recommended Certificates of Compliances for SE 18-1390, SE 18-1312 and SE 18-1388. Mr. Grady reported the applicant had cutback the width of the walkway so the project now conforms to the Orders of Conditions and he recommended the Commission issue a Certificate of Compliance. Ms. Hearn made a motion that was seconded to issue Certificates of Compliances for Se 18-1390. The vote was 4 – in favor; 0 – opposed. Motion passed.
Ms. Kelley made a motion that was seconded to issue Certificates of Compliances for SE 18-1312. The vote was 4 – in favor; 0 – opposed. Motion passed.
Ms. Morris made a motion that was seconded to issue Certificates of Compliances for SE 18-1388. The vote was 4 – in favor; 0 – opposed. Motion passed.
Ms. Hearn made a motion that was seconded to issue Certificates of Compliances for SE 18-1464. The vote was 4 – in favor; 0 – opposed. Motion passed.
The Commission signed a duplicate original of the Orders of Conditions for SE 18-1515.
Mr. Grady reported the Agricultural Commission is looking into possible sites for a community garden other than at the town-owned Delano Farms property.
Mr. Grady reported the Town was awarded a 604B Grant for continued design and remediation of storm drainage issues on Bay Road.
