Conservation Comm. Meeting - 2009/08-18
The Conservation Commission held a meeting in the Mural Room, Lower Level of Town Hall on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Members present Chairman Joseph Messina, Samuel Butcher, Dianne Hearn, Barbara Kelley, Holly Morris, and Corey Wisneski.  Thomas Gill was absent.

PH, POST, 644 WASHINGTON ST., ADDITION
The applicant, Charles Post was present for the discussion.  Dr. Post explained the project which was to construct a covered walkway on sonotubes between the dwelling and garage by replacing an existing brick patio so there would be no increase in coverage.  Dr. Post reviewed the coverage calculations on the site plan and noted that the coverage calculation completed in January 2009 was not correct in that it did not include the brick patio and should have.  The January calculation showed existing coverage at 15.5% rather then 16.3%.  The Commission noted that Orders of Conditions SE 18-1497 for the reconfiguration of a deck had the coverage listed as 15.5%.  The applicant was advised to apply for an amended Order of Conditions for SE 18-1497 to reflect that existing coverage should have actually been 16.3%.  No DEP file number had been issued so the Commission continued the public hearing.  Mr. Butcher made a motion that was seconded to continue the public hearing to September 1, 2009 at 7:10 p.m.  The vote was 6 – in favor; 0 – opposed.  Motion passed.

PH, MACFARLAND, 7 PINE POINT RD., SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING, SE 18-1514
The property owners, Mr. & Mrs. Deehan and the contractors, Douglas and Marta MacFarland were present for the discussion.  The proposed project is to raze the existing structure and construct a new single family dwelling on sonotubes.  As part of the proposal the contractor wanted to level areas of the lot.  Mr. Butcher questioned whether the site was a barrier beach as well as being in the buffer to salt marsh.  The Commission asked to continue the public hearing in order to verify with the Conservation Administrator whether or not the site was a barrier beach.  The Commission asked the applicant to show on the site plan a limit of work line and areas to be filled.  Mr. Butcher made a motion that was seconded to continue the public hearing to September 1, 2009 at 7:15 p.m.  The vote was 6 – in favor; 0 – opposed.  Motion passed.

Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
