The Conservation Commission held a meeting in the Basement Mural Room of Town Hall on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Members present were Chairman Friend Weiler, Molly Bartlett, Brendan Halligan, Anne Hill, Mark Mahoney, Arthur Vautrain and Joseph Grady, Conservation Administrator. Samuel Butcher was absent.
1. WETLAND BYLAW REVIEW
Jon Witten and Joann Muramoto of Horsley & Witten presented their proposed draft changes of the Wetland Bylaw, Chapter 9. Mr. Witten and Ms. Muramoto will incorporate changes made by the Commission and submit a revised draft to the Commission by April 1, 2002.
2. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
Mr. Halligan made a motion, that was seconded to approve the minutes of the meetings on January 29, and February 12, 2002 as amended. The motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Halligan made a motion that was seconded to approve the minutes of the meeting on January 8, 2002, as written. The motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Mahoney made a motion that was seconded to issue a Partial Certificate of Compliance for SE 18-1000. All the work was complete except the stabilization of disturbed areas. The motion passed unanimously.
3. LAND ACQUISITION (EXECUTIVE SESSION)
At 9:22 p.m. Mr. Mahoney made a motion, seconded by Mr. Vautrain to go into executive session to consider the taking, purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property which, if discussed outside of this session could have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the governing body. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously. At 9:35 p.m. Mr. Mahoney made a motion, seconded by Mr. Vautrain to reconvene into open session. A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed unanimously.
