Community Preservation Committee Meeting
Thursday, July 29, 2010

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) held a meeting in the Mural Room, Lower Level of the Town Hall on Thursday, July 29, 2010 beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Members present included Chairman Holly Morris, John Bear, Tony Kelso, Brendan Keohan, Pat Loring and Norman Tucker.  Ms. Seewald was absent.   Also present was Joe Grady, Conservation Administrator.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
The Chairman welcomed the new CPC member Norman Tucker,

The CPC discussed their views on membership to the Community Preservation Coalition.  Ms. Morris reported that the Finance Director does not use them.  No action was taken on the invoice for dues.

The CPC reviewed and signed two bills.

The CPC discussed finances and Town’s CPA Fund.

EXECUTIVE SESSION – POTENTIAL LAND ACQUISTIONS
At 8:15 a.m. Mr. Kelso made a motion that was seconded by Mr. Keohan to go into executive session.
Motion:  to go into executive session to consider the taking, purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property which, if discussed outside of this session could have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the governing body.  
Vote:  A roll call vote was taken:  6 – in favor; 0 – opposed.  Motion passed.  

At 9:10 a.m. Mr. Kelso made a motion that was seconded by Mr. Bear.
        Motion:  to reconvene into open session.
        Vote:  A roll call vote was taken: 6 – in favor; 0 – opposed.  Motion passed.

Meeting adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
