Community Preservation Committee Meeting
Thursday, December 17, 2009

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) held a meeting in the Mural Room, Lower Level of the Town Hall on Thursday, December 17, 2009 beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Members present included Chairman Holly Morris, Lynne Devnew, Tony Kelso, and Pat Loring.  John Bear, Brendan Keohan and Sarianna Seewald were absent.  Also present were Joe Grady, Conservation Administrator, Frank Mangione from Fiscal Advisory Committee, and George Wadsworth from the Planning Board.  

PUBLIC FORUM
Mr. Mangione discussed scheduling a meeting with Fiscal Advisory Committee to review the CPC projects.

ANNUAL PUBLIC FORUM
The CPC discussed scheduling the annual public forum for either February 10 or 11, 2010, depending on availability of the Mural Room.

FUNDING REQUEST APPLICATIONS FOR 2010
The CPC reviewed the list of projects for the Annual Town Meeting.

CPC BROCHURE
Ms. Loring reported the subcommittee is incorporating comments and edits into the final document.

SIGNS
No new information was reported.

PROJECT UPDATE
Tarkiln – Dr. Devnew reported that the septic system had been installed.  The CPC asked that Dr. Devnew contact Tag Carpenter to either come to a meeting or email the CPC with an update of what tasks have been completed and tasks are happening next.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
The CPC signed and reviewed invoices.

EXECUTIVE SESSION – POTENTIAL LAND ACQUISTIONS
At 8:41 a.m. Mr. Kelso made a motion that was seconded by Ms. Loring to go into executive session.
Motion:  to go into executive session to consider the taking, purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property which, if discussed outside of this session could have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the governing body.  
Vote:  A roll call vote was taken:  4 – in favor; 0 – opposed.  Motion passed.  

At 9:21 a.m. Mr. Kelso made a motion that was seconded by Ms. Loring.
        Motion:  to reconvene into open session.
        Vote:  A roll call vote was taken: 5 – in favor; 0 – opposed.  Motion passed.

Meeting adjourned at 9:22 a.m.
