Community Preservation Committee Meeting
Thursday, June 19, 2008

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) held a meeting in the Mural Room, Lower Level of the Town Hall on Thursday, June 19, 2008 beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Members present included Chairman Holly Morris, Lynne Devnew, Tony Kelso, Brendan Keohan, Pat Loring and Sarianna Seewald.  John Bear was absent.  Also present was George Wadsworth from the Planning Board.

PUBLIC FORUM
No subject was brought forth.

GRANGE
Christine Stickney, Planning Director updated the CPC on the status of the project.  It was reported the Board of Selectmen raised the issue of a 21E Environmental Assessment of the property.  The firm of Nover-Armstrong Associates, Inc. has been selected to perform the assessment for $2,000.  Ms. Loring made a motion that was seconded by Mr. Keohan.
        Motion:  the CPC approves the expenditure of $2,000 from the administrative expense budget for the 21E assessment for the Grange property.
        Vote: 6 – in favor; 0 – opposed.  Motion passed.

PUBLICITY
The CPC discussed doing newspaper articles and publicity for CPC projects.

PROJECT UPDATE
Tarkiln – Dr. Devnew reported on the Board of Selectmen’s meeting and the appointment of a new committee for the Tarkiln Building.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
Mr. Kelso left the meeting before the votes on the minutes and the bills.

The CPC reviewed the draft minutes of the meeting on 6/5/2008.  Ms. Loring made a motion that was seconded by Dr. Devnew.
        Motion:  to approve the minutes of the meeting on 6/5/2008 as presented.
        Vote:  5 – in favor; 0 – opposed.  Motion passed.

The CPC reviewed and signed expense bills.
