Community Preservation Committee Meeting
Thursday, June 5, 2008

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) held a meeting in the Mural Room, Lower Level of the Town Hall on Thursday, June 5, 2008 beginning at 8:00 a.m.  Members present included Chairman Holly Morris, John Bear, Brendan Keohan, Lynne Devnew, Tony Kelso, Pat Loring and Sarianna Seewald.  Also present were Frank Mangione from the Fiscal Advisory Committee and George Wadsworth from the Planning Board.

PUBLIC FORUM
No subject was brought forth.

COMMUNITY PRESERVATION ACT SURCHARGE
Ms. Morris reported there has been discussion among some residents to reduce the CPA surcharge.  The CPC discussed doing positive publicity to educate the residents about CPC projects.  At the next meeting the Chairman will assign tasks to the members.

CPC MEETING SCHEDULE
The CPC discussed the meeting schedule for fiscal year 2009, starting in July.

PROJECTS UPDATE
Projects status was reported by the members.

OTHER BUSINESS
The CPC discussed possible projects for next year.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS
The CPC reviewed and signed bills.

The CPC reviewed the draft minutes of the meeting on May 8, 2008.  Ms. Loring made a motion that was seconded by Mr. Keohan.
        Motion:  to approve the minutes of the meeting on 5/8/2008 as drafted.
        Vote:  6 – in favor; 0 – opposed; 1 – abstention (Bear).  Motion passed.
