Public Information Hearing

The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) held a public information hearing in the Mural Room, Lower Level of the Town Hall on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Members present included Chairman Holly Morris, Nancy Bennett, Tony Kelso, and George Wadsworth. Members absent were Brendan Keohan, Pat Loring, and Sarianna Seewald.
People in the audience included Maxine Armour and Mark Mahoney from the Finance Committee, Ruth Rowley, 546 Washington St. and Grace Kelso from Elder Brewster Road.
Ms. Morris began the discussion with a review of financial sheets showing revenue projections and projects that have been funded by the CPA.
Discussion continued on the warrant articles for both the Annual Town Meeting (ATM) and Special Town Meeting (STM):
· ATM Article 5 – Operating Budget
· ATM Article 15 – 10% Allocation for Purpose of Open space, Community Housing & Historic Preservation
· ATM Article 16 – Wright Building Reconstruction & Rehabilitation
· ATM Article 17 – Bluefish River Firehouse Reconstruction & Rehabilitation
· ATM Article 18 – Town Green Irrigation System
· STM Article 6 – Transfer of Funding of portion of Delano Property to Water Department for future water supply
· STM Article 7 – Unanticipated legal expenses incurred in acquiring Jaycox Property
Ms. Rowley noted that the wording for each of the articles should include the recommendation of the CPC.
