DUKES COUNTY COMMISSION EXECUTIVE SESSION
Sept. 22, 2004
County Administration Building
At a regular meeting of the Dukes County Commission, Commissioner Paul A. Strauss made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Leslie H. Leland, to go into executive session, and not return to public session. The roll-call vote was unanimously in favor: Chairman John Alley, yes; Vice Chairman Robert Sawyer, yes; Commissioner Strauss, yes; Commissioner Leland, yes; Commissioner Leonard Jason Jr., yes; Commissioner Nelson W. Smith, yes; Commissioner Roger W. Wey, yes.
All of the above-named Commissioners were present for the executive session, which began at 7:35 p.m.
The sole subject of discussion was Marsha Smolev’s lawsuit. Mr. Davis indicated that Ms. Smolev had now modified her lawsuit to include the County as a Party Defendant and added a count alleging a violation of the “Whistle Blower” statute. It has been referred to counsel in accordance with our insurance coverage.
Mr. Leland made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Sawyer. The roll-call vote was unanimously in favor: Mr. Alley, yes; Mr. Sawyer, yes; Mr. Jason, yes; Mr. Leland, yes; Mr. Strauss, yes; Mr. Smith, yes; Mr. Wey, yes.
Adjournment was at 8:55 a.m.
