Police Commission Special Meeting Minutes 12/27/2010 SPECIAL MEETING - POLICE COMMISSION Monday, December 27, 2010 6:30 P.M. - Meeting Room 1 MEMBERS PRESENT: Acting Chairman of Commission/Board of Selectman Liaison Stan Soby, Commissioner's Rob Parlee, Ed Fusco, Frank Jackter, and Steve Petty OTHERS PRESENT: Civic Students and Board of Education member Brad Bernier 1. Call to Order - Commissioner Parlee called the December 27, 2010 special meeting to order at 6:33pm. 2. Citizen's Comments- none 3. Officers Comments - none 4. Discussion and Possible Action on the Election of a Commission Chair - Commissioner Petty MOTIONED to nominate Rob Parlee as commission chair. SECONDED by Commissioner Jackter. All members present voted in favor, MOTION CARRIED. 5. Discussion and Possible Action on the By-Laws - No action taken. Commissioner Parlee found his copy of the by-laws which mirrors the copy that First Selectman G. Schuster handed out to the commission at the last meeting. Commissioner Parlee will give the new members a copy for them to look over. 6. Discussion and Possible Action on the FY 12 Budget - No action taken. Commissioner Parlee gave the new members an overview of what the board of commissioners have discussed for the FY 12 Budget year. The new members will be given an opportunity to look over the Police Department budget. 7. Discussion and Possible Action on the Colchester Police Strategic Goals - No action taken. Commissioner Parlee gave the new members and overview of the plan for the Police Strategic Goals. Commissioner Parlee asked the new members to come up with goals to bring to the table at the next meeting. 8. Adjourn - Commissioner Parlee MOTIONED to adjourn at 7:02p.m. SECONDED by Commissioner Petty. All members present voted in favor. MOTION CARRIED. 1. Call to Order - Commissioner Parlee called the December 27, 2010
special meeting to order at 6:33pm.

2. Citizen's Comments- none

4. Discussion and Possible Action on the Election of a Commission Chair
- Commissioner Petty MOTIONED to nominate Rob Parlee as commission
chair. SECONDED by Commissioner Jackter. All members present voted in
favor, MOTION CARRIED.

5. Discussion and Possible Action on the By-Laws - No action taken.
Commissioner Parlee found his copy of the by-laws which mirrors the copy
that First Selectman G. Schuster handed out to the commission at the
last meeting. Commissioner Parlee will give the new members a copy for
them to look over.

6. Discussion and Possible Action on the FY 12 Budget - No action taken.
