MONTHLY OFFICER’S MEETING

MEMBERS PRESENT: Chief W. Cox, Dep. Chief B. Standish, Asst. Chief T. Clark, EMS Capt. A. Barnes, Fire Capt. K. McKenna, LT. J. Greenman, Safety Officer D. Rowland, Sec. J. LaGrega.
Chief Cox called the meeting to order @ 0705 hours.
Citizen’s Comments: None
The minutes from the April monthly meeting were approved as read. Motion by T. Clark, 2nd by K. McKenna, approved.
Career Staff: Personnel issues are being dealt with. The letter of resignation from James Manganello is tabled until a meeting can be arranged with the chief officers this week.
Budget: Current Budget reviewed. Discussion on money left to be spent. Town meeting this week for the new year’s budget. Discussion on upcoming budget issues.
Training: posted. The committee is doing a great job on scheduling ahead. A boating safety course is being offered. All training must go through Chief McMinn before being posted or approved.
EMS: EMS Charts training is being done. Basic training is being worked on.
Fire: Need information regarding fire gear status, no report available, need to get from Co. 2 Fire Capt. Giudice. All members need to be aware of not letting emergency apparatus run unnecessarily. Smart tags kits are in the ambulances and R128. Solid stokes basket is needed for the gator and the mesh basket can be used for hazmat.
Chief Officers: Harassment training is being offered by the town for officers on May 12th. Discussion on what to do with the Magnum SCBA units. Magnums are only to be used for the flashover. The compressor and extra magnums are going to be sold. Safety meeting this Wednesday night.
President: The Fisherman’s Breakfast went well. Meeting with the Town regarding issues when using Co. 2 for voting will be Monday evening at 1900 hours. Discussion on a joint venture with Dunkin Donuts during the Hebron Fair, he will be here for the Thursday meeting to discuss further. Linda Hodge will be here for Thursday’s meeting as well. IT is parade time, sign up sheets are posted.
