MINUTES
Members Present: Thomas Tyler, Joseph Ruiz, Irene Malsbenden, Joseph DeLucia, Paul Picard, Pam Scheibelein
Members Absent: Anthony Tarnowski
Others Present: Director of Facilities Ken Jackson, Architect Marco Tommasini, Board of Education Liaison Brad Bernier, Board of Selectman Liaison Rosemary Coyle
1. Call to order: Chairman Tyler called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. Additions to Agenda: None
3. Citizens Comments: None
a) Discussion of Correspondence Received: None
4. Approval of Minutes
April 1, 2013: I. Malsbenden motioned to approve the minutes of the April 1, 2013, seconded by
J. Ruiz. Vote was unanimous with P. Scheibelein abstaining. MOTION CARRIED.
5. Communication Update from BOF, BOS, BOE: Updates were given to all three boards. Board of Finance would like to discuss further at their April 17, 2013 meeting. Chairman Tyler asked M. Tommasini to be at the meeting. During the Presentation to the Board of Selectmen, the First Selectmen inquired about a stand-alone senior center. He feels other options should be explored. Jim Paggioli, Public Works Director, has been charged by the First Selectman, to determine a cost for a stand-alone facility.
The committee agreed that it would be difficult to build a stand-alone facility less expensive than using the existing structure at WJJMS. Selectman Coyle wanted it noted that the comments the First Selectman made were not the feelings of all Board of Selectmen.
6. Architect and Discussion of Project: No additional discussion.

9. Adjournment: P. Picard motioned to adjourn, seconded by I. Malsbenden. Vote was
unanimous. MOTION CARRIED. Chairman Tyler adjourned the meeting at 8:47 p.m.
