MINUTES
Members Present: Thomas Tyler, Anthony Tarnowski, Joseph Ruiz, Irene Malsbenden, Joseph DeLucia, Paul Picard, Pam Scheibelein
Members Absent: None
Others Present: Director of Facilities Greg Plunkett, Architect Marco Tommasini, Principal Chris Bennett, Superintendent Jeff Mathieu, Board of Education Vice Chairman Don Kennedy, Selectman James Ford, Board of Finance Liaison Art Shilosky, Citizens:  William Sullivan, Mark Ruszczyk, and Michelle Gilman
    
1. Call to order:  Chairman Tyler called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.
2. Additions to Agenda:  None
3. Citizens Comments: 
a) Discussion of Correspondence Received:  None
4.   Approval of Minutes
January 10, 2013: J. DeLucia  motioned to approve the minutes of the January 10, 2013 regular meeting amending to reflect Superintendent Jeff Mathieu as present, seconded by P. Scheibelein.  Vote was unanimous.  MOTION CARRIED.
5. C3 Survey Comments Supporting Pool:  A survey done by C3 (Collaborative for Colchester’s Children) last year received many comments in regards to wanting a pool in the town for swimming, lessons, swim team, etc….
6. Discussion of Cost Estimate: Members discussed the cost estimate provided by Tecton at the last meeting.   J. Ford and D. Kennedy asked if the architect could provide some comparables of like projects and costs.  Chairman Taylor directed the architect to do so.  Some members expressed concern over the high cost.  Hiring an independent estimator to review the schematics is a possibility.
7. Citizen Comments:
> Many parents would like a pool for open swim, lessons, has revenue possibilities, and would bring people to Colchester.
> Comparables are needed to justify the cost difference between previous school projects, JJIS renovation and the building of CES, and the cost estimate for WJJMS. 
8. Adjournment: J. Ruiz motioned to adjourn, seconded by P. Picard.  Vote was 
     unanimous.  MOTION CARRIED.  Chairman Tyler adjourned the meeting at 8:12 p.m.
