5:00 PM: PUBLIC HEARING - PARTIES AGGRIEVED BY TWO WIND TURBINE BUILDING PERMITS; Article 9 Section 9.9: Five petitions have been filed under Chilmark Zoning Bylaw Article 9 Section 9.9 questioning the Building Inspector’s issuance of Building Permits for two separate wind turbines. Both permits were issued without special permits from the Chilmark Zoning Board of Appeals pursuant to the Building Inspector’s determination that both projects qualify for the commercial agriculture use exemption under Chapter 40A, Section 3 of Massachusetts Zoning Laws. The petitions also ask the Zoning Board of Appeals to consider referring both projects
for review by the Martha’s Vineyard Commission (MVC) as discretionary, in-town DRI referrals by a Municipal Agency under MVC Section 1.1a. The Building Permits were issued to Clarissa Allen for the Allen Farm Assessors Map 25 Lot 20.1 and Eric Glasgow for Grey Barn Real Estate Holdings, LLC Assessors Map 11 Lot 51.
