The year to date total thus far for 2019 is 51 incidents. At the same time last year Tri-Town Ambulance had 39 incidents.

  • Adoption of Protocol for Travelers Insurance
Administrative Assistant Allison Graczykowski shared with the committee that billing protocols had been created years ago to ensure that claim handling/billing is handled with consistency. Occasionally travelers that visit the Island purchase Travelers Insurance that covers medical bills should they have any. Prior experience indicates that these carriers typically send a settlement agreement asking the vendor (in this case TTA) to accept a lesser amount. In some cases, the amount offered is as low as $300.00. Allison requested that the committee vote to add a protocol that in the event travel insurance requests a settlement, that TTA will offer a 25% discount on the billed amount. Committee member Cindy Mitchell motioned to approve, and Committee Chair Warren Doty seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
