February 5, 2019 Meeting Minutes

Committee Chair Warren Doty called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.

In attendance

Committee Chair Warren Doty, Committee Member Jim Newman, Chief Ben Retmier, Paramedic Jason Blandini, Admin Assistant Allison Graczykowski

Absent: Committee Member Cindy Mitchell


  • Approval of January 8th, 2019 Meeting Minutes
Committee Member Jim Newman motioned to approve the January 8, 2019 meeting minutes as written. Committee Chair Warren Doty seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.





  • Old Business
Committee Chair Warren Doty stated that we are moving along in the process of buying land and will know the results on or about April 22nd. He also states that if approved by the town members that a building committee will need to be formed to determine specs and cost.



  • New Business
Time will be reserved for topics the chair did not reasonably anticipate.

Chief Retmier shared that he had heard that public hearings may be needed. Committee Chair Warren Doty responded and said maybe the first week of April.

  • TTA Chief report
                Three Month Review

Chief Retmier shared that from November 5th, 2018 to February 5, 2019, Tri-Town Ambulance had a total of 65 incidents. Last year for this same period, there were 66 incidents.

The year to date total thus far for 2019 is 25 incidents. At the same time last year Tri-Town Ambulance had 22 incidents.

 



  • Defibrillators
Chief Retmier shared with the Committee that he received a quote from Physio for 41 Life Pak Defibrillators and that the price is just over $65,000.00. Physio will provide a $100.00 trade in allowance for the 31 Life Pak Defibrillators we currently have which will provide a credit of approximately $3,000.00. This quote includes 16 wall mounts. The new Life Paks will be in all police vehicles in the Tri-Town Service area, schools, libraries, community center and the beach departments. Chief Retmier asked the committee to authorize a warrant request of $66,000.00 from the reserve receipt fund to make this purchase. Committee Member Jim Newman motioned to approve the request and Committee Chair Warren Doty seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Collections continue to go well.

Tuesday March 5th at 12:00 pm.

  • Adjournment
Committee member Jim Newman motioned to adjourn the meeting at 2:24pm and Committee Chair Warren Doty seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
