The meeting was called to order by Committee Chair Warren Doty at 12:03 p.m.

- Approval of Meeting Minutes
Committee Member Jim Newman motioned to approve the May 2, 2018 meeting minutes as written. Committee Chair Warren Doty seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Committee Chair Warren Doty shared the concept building plans for the proposed fire/ems building.
Chief Retmier provided actions that are being taken to place A-90 in service.
Committee Member Jim Newman and Chief Retmier discussed training with the Up-Island Fire Departments. They concluded that Chief Retmier will work on finding a standard to teach to and then provide appropriate medical training to fire department staff. Jim Newman expressed that he’d like to see strong inter-personal relationships between the departments.

Chief Retmier shared that from March 6 to June 6, Tri-Town Ambulance had a total of 80 calls. Last year for this same period, Tri-Town had 105 calls.
The year to date total thus far for 2018 is 119. The year to date total for the same time period in 2017 was 143.
Administrative Assistant Allison Graczykowski explained to the Committee that providers receiving VA Payments were required to go through an arduous enrollment process. She also shared that in a three year look back provided by billing vendor Comstar, Tri-Town Ambulance had not received any VA Payments. The Chilmark Executive Secretary asked that the Committee vote on whether or not to go through the enrollment process for VA payments. Committee Chair Warren Doty motioned to not enroll for VA Payments, Committee Member Jim Newman seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Chief Retmier shared with the Committee that there were two applications received for the fulltime paramedic position. Committee Chair Warren Doty expressed how wonderful to have two well qualified applicants for the position. Chief Retmier recommendation to the Committee is to hire Belinda Booker for the full-time paramedic position. Committee Member Jim Newman motioned to approve the hire recommendation, Committee Chair Warren Doty seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Administrative Assistant Allison Graczykowski shared that collections continue to go well.
The next meeting will be held on July 11, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the West Tisbury Fire Station on State Road, West Tisbury.
Committee member Jim Newman motioned to adjourn the meeting at 12:53pm and Committee Chair Warren Doty seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
