Minutes of December 4, 2014 were approved as amended.
Janet Weidner chaired the meeting in the absence of Jim Malkin.
Draft Power Point Presentation for December 18th Public Information Meeting: The Committee reviewed a draft power point presentation for the public information meeting to be held on December 18th at 7pm at the Chilmark Community Center. Issues discussed included whether the Town should seek to own or lease the “Little Weldon” and Orphanos-Jeffers small lots; how to frame the question of a time-limit set on agreement to be reached on the Committee’s preferred recommendation; the benchmark from which the height of any proposed causeway should be measured, and clarifying this for public presentation; and the optimal-lowest height for a secure access roadway. The power point presentation was amended and remains to be finalized
at the next meeting of the Committee, scheduled for December 16th 2014.
Preparation of an Invitation-Flyer for December 18th Public Information Meeting: The Committee next took up the design and wording of a one-sheet information flyer that can be sent to all Chilmark residents to invite them to a presentation/discussion on the Committee’s findings so far.
