Chilmark Board of Selectmen February 23, 2018 Meeting Minutes
Present: Chairman Rossi, Warren Doty, Jim Malkin, Jennifer Christy, Tony Orphanos,
Jay Walsh, Jessica Elder and reporter Rich Saltzberg.
At 9:00 AM Chairman Rossi called meeting to order in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room.
Mr. Malkin recused himself from the meeting & continued public hearing.
Chairman Rossi opened discussion for the continued public hearing concerning the utilities at Squibnocket project site.
Chairman Rossi recognized Mr. Orphanos. Mr. Orphanos related history of the pole location change and related costs. There was discussion to remove the pole and go underground.
Chairman Rossi said it is the intention of the Board of Selectmen to permit the pole location as presented by Ms. Elder of Eversource.
With no further comments Chairman Rossi closed the public hearing at 9:12 AM.
Mr. Doty moved to grant the pole permit and approve the utilities easement. Chairman Rossi seconded the motion. SO VOTED: 2 Ayes, 1 Abstain Jim Malkin
Chilmark Board of Selectmen signed the Easement and the same Easement was notarized by Ms. Christy. Ms. Elder received Easement.
At 9:20 with no further agenda items Mr. Doty moved to adjourn. Chairman Rossi seconded the motion. SO VOTED: 2 Ayes, 1 Abstain Jim Malkin
