Chilmark Board of Selectmen April 25, 2014 Meeting Minutes
Present: Chairman Doty, Jonathan Mayhew, Bill Rossi, Chuck Hodgkinson, Tim Carroll and
Lynn Christoffers.
At 2:30 pm Chairman Doty called meeting to order.
Chairman Doty recommended postponing the Nab’s Corner closing documents till our attorney arrives.
Annual Town Meeting Preparations:
Chairman Doty said that Frank Yeomans recommended not spending free cash to pay down the tax rate (article 24) because the snow and ice removal is up to $85,000.00. Discussion ensued. No action was taken to remove article 24.
2: 35 PM Ron Rappaport arrives
Nab’s Corner / Hillman Paperwork:
Town counsel Rappaport presented all the documents to sign in the closing process for the Nab’s Corner property. The Nab’s Corner property will be for 4 resident home sites. The paperwork was completed and notarized.
Rosalee Hornblower arrived at 2:45 PM
Ms. Hornblower said she was present for any discussion of Squibnocket Beach Project.
Ms. Hornblower said she was not a voter but was interested in sharing her concerns about the proposal. Discussion ensued.
More preparations for the Annual Town Meeting were completed. At 3:05PM Mr. Rossi moved to adjourn. Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion. SO VOTED: 3 Ayes
