Chilmark Board of Selectmen August 26, 2011 Meeting Minutes
Present: Frank Fenner, Warren Doty, Tim Carroll, Chuck Hodgkinson, Dennis Jason.
Jonathan Mayhew absent
5:00 pm. Chairman Fenner called meeting to order in the selectmen’s room.
MLR:
The Chilmark Board of Selectmen received at 4:30 pm on August 24, 2011 sealed bids for the Finish road work project at the Middle Line Road. This project is known as Roads II MLR.
Dandel Construction bid $124,442.00 to complete the road work. White Brother’s Lynch bid $190,088.49 and John Keene Excavation bid $115,000.00.
The lowest bid received was from John Keene Excavation for $115,000.00 to complete the road work at the Middle Line Road.
Mr. Doty moved to award Keene Excavation the Roads II MLR project. Mr. Fenner seconded the motion. SO VOTED: 2 Ayes
Hurricane Irene:
Menemsha Harbor /new floating docks: Mr. Fenner said to attach dock lines to pier connector pilings to keep docks secure in the surge.
Mr. Carroll gave a briefing of the hurricane updates. Mr. Carroll said there will be a message at the town hall phone system to forward calls to the Chilmark Community Center/ Emergency shelter. Mr. Carroll said the next meeting addressing the hurricane will be at 3:00 pm Saturday the 27th.
Mr. Fenner moved to adjourn. Mr. Doty seconded the motion. SO VOTED: 2 Ayes
