Chilmark Planning Board Subcommittee Meeting
January 21, 2016

Meeting called to order at 11:44AM:
- Homesite Housing Section 6.9 proposed amendments to ZBLs:
- The Subcommittee members reviewed the responses from Town Counsel regarding the proposed amendments to the Homesite Housing Bylaw, section 6.9.
- Ms. Malkin stated she was satisfied with the answers to the questions posed by the Planning Board.
- Historical House DRAFT zoning bylaw amendment Q & A revision:
- The Q & A draft handout was reviewed.
- Changes were made to the draft and the review of the handout will continue at the next meeting of the subcommittee on February 8th.
- Discussion re future work of the subcommittee & Board:
- The subcommittee members discussed ways to become a less reactive group and more proactive in planning for the Town.
- It was suggested the members review zoning bylaws from other island towns in order to identify elements that are successful and may be useful for Chilmark to consider.
- The members discussed the visioning session for Menemsha in particular and how the Board may be more involved in the planning for this area of Town.
- Minutes of December 14th were not reviewed.
- Meeting adjourned at 12:49PM.
