Meeting called to order at 4:30 PM.
- Form A: Weldon, Map 35, Lot 3.2:
- Mr. Silva presented the plan.
- Mr. Greenbaum moved to endorse the plan. Mr. Flender seconded the motion. All ayes.
- Brief discussion occurred regarding courses that John Flender took at the all day CPTC Training Collaborative on March 15, 2014.
- The minutes from March 10, 2014 were reviewed. The minutes were accepted with no changes.
- Beach Lot Division Discussion:
- Brief discussion occurred. The Chair asked Ms. Christy to inquire of the Attorney General whether there are any limitations to the division of beach lots, especially very tiny ones. Discussion occurred about whether the Form A cannot be endorsed due to overburdening of the road, safety of the access. The question was asked, “Where is the limit to the division of a beach lot?” Mr. Fischer suggested contacting the beach associations to gain some oversight of the division of beach lots. Mr. Posin noted that the division of the beach lots would also possibly impact neighbors in an inordinate way. The Board discussed various questions that could be asked of anyone who applies with a Form A to divide a beach lot: How many lot owners would be impacted/have access, What is the traffic on the road now, What is
the easement on a plan, What are the safety protocols for the association. Mr. Fischer suggested again that the beach associations may be encouraged to look at their bylaws to determine if there are existing ways to limit division of beach lots or amendments to the beach association bylaws. There was discussion regarding what Bigelow did when their beach lot was divided.
