Meeting Minutes
Thursday, October 12, 2012 @ 7:00 PM
Present: Cathy Thompson, Acting Chair, Bonnie & Sid Franks, Ben & Susanne Clark, Pam Goff, Mitch Posin, Matt Dix & Rebecca Miller

Not Present:
- Acting Chair Thompson called meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Introduction & 2012 Farm Report
- The Acting Chair and all members introduced themselves and Mr. Dix presented 2012 Farm Report.
- Brief discussion occurred regarding various aspects of the farm such as the successful farm stand and the steady sale of Shiitake mushrooms and other produce to restaurants.
Insurance
- The liability insurance was reviewed. Acting Chair Thompson asked Ms. Christy to send all members copies of the liability insurance certificates provided by Mr. Dix.
2009 & 2010 Minutes and Discussion of Membership
- Mrs. Goff made a motion to approve the draft minutes from 2009 & 2010. Mr. Posin seconded the motion.
- Discussion occurred regarding the position of agricultural agent and the membership of the committee. Mrs. Goff referred to the covenant, Article 5, Section 2 & 3 on page 15 (The December 24, 1987 Covenant is copied below)
- Further discussion occurred regarding the advantages and disadvantages of 5 members as opposed to 6 members and a motion was made by Mr. Posin to keep the committee members to five (5) voting members. The motion was seconded. Chair Thompson brought the motion to a vote. The vote was unanimous in favor of a committee of five voting members: Pam Goff (Conservation Commission), Mitch Posin (Planning Board), Bonnie & Sid Franks (landowners), Ben & Susanne Clark (landowners) and Matt Dix & Rebecca Miller (landowners and farmers).
- Mr. Posin asked to amend the 2009 & 2010 minutes to reflect that Matt Dix & Rebecca Miller are landowners as well as farmers.
- Minutes of the meetings, in 2009 & 2010, were approved unanimously with the amendments.
Payment of Leases
- Mr. Dix paid the Franks and the Clarks for the lease of the land for 2011 & 2012 ($2.00 to each landowners).
Next Meeting
- It was requested that the farm reports be sent ahead of the 2013 meeting so that it may be reviewed by the landowners prior to the 2013 meeting on October 17.
- Next meeting will be on Thursday, October 17, 2013 @ 7:00PM
Meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM.
