Present for the Park & Recreation Committee and attending the meeting were: Andy Goldman, Chairman, Jane Slater, Julie Flanders, Tim Carroll, Jim Malkin and Chuck Hodgkinson. Betsy Larsen, Katie Carroll, Dennis Jason and Kevin Oliver also attended. Warren Doty did not attend.
The meeting came to order at 8:10 AM.
Dennis Jason Discussion: Harbormaster Jason wanted to inform the Committee on how he is planning to reconfigure the harbormaster shack and accessible ramp. He also needs to open space on the Basin Road side of the shack for a new electrical pedestal that is needed for the complete re-wiring of the docks. He added the shed that holds the beach wheelchair would therefore need to be relocated to perhaps its original location – behind the life guard stand and on the Basin Road side of the bulkhead. The Committee thanked Mr. Jason for the update and had no problems or concerns for the activity on his bulkhead lot.
Product list review: Mr. Goldman welcomed and thanked everyone who attended for this discussion. He explained the purpose is to review the approved lists of products for sale at the fish markets and Menemsha Texaco with Kevin Oliver as he and Elizabeth will be the proprietors of the Menemsha Market this season. Upon review of the two lists of products (Fish Markets dated 1/12/17 and Menemsha Texaco dated 3/9/17) there was unanimous consensus that there are no conflicts or duplication of a significant magnitude. The Committee wished all a successful summer season.
Administration:
The January 18, 2018 meeting minutes were reviewed and approved as presented by consensus.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 8:35 AM.
