Chilmark Library Trustees Minutes, Meeting May 17, 2011
Meeting called to order at 9 a.m.
Present:~ Norman F, Jane S., and Ebba H.
Director submitted a proposal for policy change regarding our ability~
to prohibit unaccompanied adults from loitering in children’s rooms.
Norman made motion:~ For the safety of children in the library adult~
patrons who are not accompanied by children may not loiter in the~
Children’s room.~ Taking pictures of children in the library is~
prohibited.~ A parent, guardian, library staff or invited media may~
take photos when authorized by the Director.
Motion was seconded and passed.
There was a brief discussion about changes the Friends were un-
officially considering.~ Ebba was instructed to continue her~
discussions with them. Trustees agreed that landscaping projects were~
acceptable.
Summer help hired and starting and summer hours begin in June.
No further business.
