CHILMARK LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING
August 30, 2010
Present: Trustees Norman Freed and Janet Weidner; Library Director Ebba Hierta.
Meeting called to order at 8:34 AM.
Art Group: The art programs of the summer went well. Kristin continues to receive requests and has begun booking into 2012.
Program Group: The library had high attendance for our programs and events this summer.
Director’s Report: The library’s summer hours will be ending after this coming week-end (Labor Day). The Brookner poetry contest was a success again. There were about forty poetry submissions made by twelve to eighteen year olds. Norman has been in contact with the Brickner family with regards to the best approach to continue to fund the prizes.
New Business: The Personnel Board is in the process of reviewing job descriptions for all town employees. The Trustees agreed that we would like to have input into the job description for the Library Director.
Meeting adjourned at 9:17 AM. Next meeting will be September 21st at 8:30 AM.
