CHILMARK LIBRARY TRUSTEES MEETING
May 19, 2010
Present: Trustees Norman Freed, Jane Slater and Janet Weidner; Library Director Ebba Hierta; Librarian Kristin Maloney.
Meeting called to order at 8:35 AM.
Art Group: The schedule of art exhibits is set for the rest of this year as well as the summer of 2011.
Building and Grounds: The overflow valve (which prevents an overflow when oil is being delivered) is not working properly. Rodney is aware of the problem and is getting it fixed. We can use contingency money from the current fiscal year to cover the expense.
Program Group: The program schedule for July and August is full.
Correspondence: We have received a thank you letter from the Department of Commerce for their use of our meeting room on an almost daily basis this spring by the Census workers.
Director’s Report: There will be a review of the new personnel by-law for town employees in early June. Ebba and Norman will attend.
Old Business: The Chilmark Library recently received additional state aid money so that our total received aid money for FY10 is almost equal to the amount originally promised. Unfortunately, due to the economy, next year’s aid will likely be lower.
Meeting adjourned at 9:17 AM. Next meeting will be June 22nd at 8:30 AM.
