Minutes of April 2, 2012 approved as amended.
Town Housing Regulations the Committee discussed ways of making Chilmark Housing Regulations more responsive to the need for affordable housing with respect to the required acreage for creation of a Homesite Lot. For example, the 1-acre requirement could be made a little more flexible to allow for a less cumbersome approval process. This could possibly be done via amendments to the guidelines rather than a Bylaw amendment to be approved by Town Meeting.
Andy Goldman and Jim Feiner will meet with the Planning Board on Monday, May 14th, to present the thoughts of the Committee on this matter.
Leonardi Refinancing Michele Leonardi met with the Committee to present a refinancing plan for the Middle Line Road property. The terms are favorable, but result in a 5% increase in the mortgage. The Committee noted that the Town will seek a lien, priced at $1, for this and all other homesite lots. The Committee approved the mortgage refinance proposal.
The Committee decided to hold its next meeting on June 4, 2012 at 5pm
The Committee adjourned at 6pm.
