Housing Committee Minutes
February 8, 2006

Present: Steve Schwab, Chair, Zelda Gamson, Andy Goldman, Jim Feiner, Josh Scott, and Deborah Cini, Administrative Assistant.

Call to Order:
Mr. Schwab opened the meeting at 7:30p.m.
Middle Line Road Project Update:
Mr. Schwab and Mr. Feiner updated the Committee on the Middle Line Road project. The memorandum from John Stainton & Charleen Regan was reviewed. (See attached) The memorandum raised several questions the committee thought needed to be answered prior to accepting the proposal from the IHT. Additional concerns were raised about the price of the rentals and the overall cost of the project.
A meeting has been set up for February 21, 2006 at 10:00a.m. in Town Hall. This meeting will consist of the Middle Line Road Subcommittee, Philippe Jordi and David Vigneault. They have requested questions be submitted to them prior to the meeting. It was decided to email Ms. Cini any questions. She would then compile them prior to sending them to Mr. Jordi and Mr. Vigneault.
Possible Sources of Affordable Housing:
Ms. Gamson went over the document she had created entitled Possible Sources of Affordable Housing. Ms. Gamson did not wish to address each line item however she did wish to revisit the document at the first meeting in March.
Implementation Guidelines:
Mr. Goldman went over changes to the Implementation Guidelines. The matter of available assets and their definition were discussed. A motion was made to approve the change to IV.A.7 Motion was seconded and motion approved 5:1. Mr. Scott voted against the motion, and is concerned with the wording of that section. After further discussion it was decided to see West Tisbury's language for assets and how unavailable assets are defined.
