Housing Committee Minutes
April 13, 2005
7:30p.m.
Present: Steve Schwab-chair, Zelda Gamson, Josh Scott, Jim Feiner, Steve Gallas, Bill Randol and Deborah Cini.
The minutes of March 16, 2005 were approved with two minor spelling corrections.
The minutes of March 23, 2005 were approved as written.
Zelda Gamson volunteered as the Housing Committee representative to the Community Preservation Committee or as a member of the board of the Regional Housing Authroity, with Bill Randol serving on one or the other. It was decided to ask Bill Randol which organization he prefers to serve on. Dukes County Regional Housing Authority representative would be decided after a decision on the CPC rep.
The committee discussed a document about the Homesite list from William Meegan, Planning Board-chair. It was decided that Steve Schwab would have a discussion with the Dukes County Regional Housing Authority.
The documents for ATM were discussed. Zee agreed to write a cover letter. Steve Schwab presented his document outlining the status of Middle Line Road. Jim Feiner drafted a Q& A document for discussion. All final documents are to be given to Deb Cini to be compiled and printed for ATM.
Josh Scott brought up the question of the lottery system. He read from the guidelines and stated that he believes they require change. There is concern that the committee be careful not to make changes that would sway the lottery unfairly. The discussion was tabled until Molly Flender could be contacted to determine the last official Homesite Guidelines.
The committee received a fax from Nelson Sigelman requesting the list of approved homesite applicants. Steve Schwab agreed to speak with Mr. Sigelman.
The bills from MV Gazette for $229.34 and South Mountain Company for $3,056.95 were approved.
