CHILMARK HISTORICAL COMMISSION
FEBRUARY 22, 2006 MEETING
Present: Jane Slater, Bette Carroll, John Flender, Steve McGhee, Lenny Jason
Meeting called to order at 4:00 PM.
Commission received donation of Henry Scott letters regarding Noman’s Land. Sally Cook made this donation. Letter of thanks go to her.
John Flender donated a photo of old Chilmark School. Commission thanked him.
Lenny reported that Randy Ben David is taking pictures of the Gilbert house to preserve the history of that house. It was the George Fred Tilton House…on North Road.
The members reviewed the negatives and photos from the Lucy Vincent collection and chose those suitable to use in the Town Report. Thanks to Robert Vincent for the loan of the pictures.
Meeting adjourned at 4:50 PM.
Next meeting will be March 29, 2006 at Town Hall.
