- MASSACHUSETTS HISTORICAL COMMISSION LETTER: Response letter with photos have been sent.
- GRAVESTONE RESTORATION – ABEL’S HILL CEMETERY: Review Kai Nalenz’s response to the Commission’s question about obtaining permission from the gravesite families. Discuss next steps.
- MAYHEW-MITCHELL HOUSE;QUANSOO: Follow up on the Chilmark School field trip. Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation’s Executive Director Adam Moore would be happy to lead a guided tour of the house. Dates, logistics, insurance?
- HISTORICAL COMMISSION AWARD: Michael Van Valkenburgh has been added to the plaque as the 2012 recipient.
- MIDDLE RD. STONE WALLS RESTORATION UPDATE: Jimmy is planning to start work by the end of March.
- CHILMARK SCHOOL FIELD TRIP: Adam Moore, Executive Director of Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation has agreed to host a field trip to the Mayhew-Mitchell house in Quansoo for the Chilmark School. Next Steps:
- Obtain agreement from the school and identify what grade(s) and several possible dates and times—before school lets out in June.
- Investigate transportation and any insurance needs.
