Present:  Katie Carroll, Matt Poole,  Jan Buhrman

Also Present:  Mike Tompkins, Eric Glasgow,

Grey Barn Farm and Dairy  Eric Glasgow came before the Board to request permission to revert back to the original plan for a proposed single-bay food prep sink in the food processing kitchen area.  According to the plumbing inspector, a two-bay sink requires an interior grease trap which is structurally impossible to install without significantly disrupting major elements of the building, including cheese caves currently in use.  He noted that the facility has an exterior grease trap.

The Board stated that a single-bay food prep sink would be limited to vegetable use, and could not be used to rinse meats and meat products.  The Board accepted the proposal for a single-bay, protein-free sink, but urged the owner to review any other options that would allow for an internal grease trap and a two-bay sink.

Heilbroner, 147 South Road (17-9)  Chris Alley presented a plan for a proposed upgrade for the septic system serving a proposed 4 bedroom dwelling on a property of <1acre.  The plan does not require variances and was approved by the Board.

Willner, 34 High Mark (26-80)   The Board reviewed a septic system construction  permit application prepared by Reid Silva. The Board approved the permit and asked Marina Lent to obtain a building plan and confirm bedroom count, and also to obtain proof of Presby certification  of the installer is prior to releasing the construction permit.

Fischer Nominee Trust 521 South Road (26-88)  The Board approved a septic plan revision which adds two more bedrooms and a row of infiltrators to the previously approved plan.

Doty, 62 Menemsha Crossroad (26-105)  The Board amended the conditions of approval letter to specify that the Notice of Decision and the Board’s review of the system in the event of failure should be recorded at the Registry of Deeds.

The meeting adjourned at 19:00 hours.
