Island Integrated Public Health Collaborative (I2PHC) Marina Lent and Matt Poole described a proposal developed by the Island Health Care Clinic for the formation of a center that would provide common space and population health information to the full range of municipal, non-profit and private health care and social service entities on the Island. I2PHC is seeking to reach an agreement with the County to use currently un-occupied office space above the Center for Living off of Holmes Hole Road in Tisbury.
Coutinho, 28 Oyster Lane (11-54.6) The Board approved a well construction permit application which does not require variances.
Chilmark Store 7 State Road (30-85) The Board discussed a septic system repair permit application prepared by Kent Healy. In light of improvements in the technology for this type of system have occurred since system installation, and given that the Board has not been consulted for repairs periodically undertaken in the intervening years, as well as the increased output of the food establishment served by the system, the Board felt that a thorough review and overhaul of the system is due, to ensure proper function of this important facility well into the future.
The Board reviewed conditions set at the time of system approval, and noted that the file does not reflect that the required procedures have been followed. They felt it was likely that its original list of conditions was not passed down when the establishment changed ownership, which could be remedied in future by having conditions for system maintenance registered with the registry of deeds.
