Minutes: The Board approved the draft minutes of November 18, 2014 as corrected.
Perc Test Season: The Board opened the perc test season 2014/2015.
Island Youth Collaborative: The Board approved the Warrant Article to be presented to the April Town Meeting requesting funding to support this important initiative. The Board would also like to support activities of the program underway in FY’15, and asked Marina Lent to assess what funding may be available in our current budget.
Beach Plum Inn: The Board discussed measures to be taken next year to ensure that activities at the Beach Plum Inn do not exceed septic capacity and conform fully with the US Food Code and Massachusetts regulations. The Board will ask BPI chef Chris Fischer to come to the Board early in 2015 to discuss conditions of operation for the 2015 season.
Draft FY’16 Expense Budget: The Board reviewed a draft expenses budget presented by Marina Lent, and noted with satisfaction that we will be able to save the Town over $2,000 in FY’16.
BOH Position Hours: The Board discussed the need to increase the hours of the BOH position. Those hours were decreased from 32 ½ to 30 when Marina Lent was hired, but the position has grown number of issues covered and complexity, and clearly requires more than 30 hours. The Board asked Marina Lent to write up a brief description of the history of her working hours and position requirements.
Invoices: The following invoices were approved for payment:
- Membership: National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) $95
- CCC/Library PWS#4062006 Nitrate $12
- CC-VNA October 2014 $215.50
