North Star Realty Trust, 4 Tucker Trail (33-55) The Board approved a tank relocation permit application presented by Reid Silva, on the condition that the old well be tested for flow and potability, and a new well be established if it proves to be necessary.
McGrath, 11 Little Sandy Road (10-3.1) Reid Silva requested permission to conduct an out of season perc test on the property which is near the Tisbury Great Pond and currently served by a 1980s tank and pit system. The Board approved conducting an out-of-season perc tst.
Zack, 45 Blue Barque (17-53) Kent Healy asked the Board to approve a septic tank relocation permit application to make room for planned renovations to the house. The Board approved the proposed tank relocation.
Herbert, 15 Stonewall Road (32-54) The Board reviewed renovation plans presented by Nick Waldman (Breese Architects). The Board noted that these plans are within the capacity of the existing septic system and requested Marina Lent to inform Building Inspector Lenny Jason of same.
Van Linda, 16 Wintergreen Way (18-21) well completion report received—passes
Cottle, 6 Cottle Cove Road(24-188) John Clarke (Island Water Source) submitted a replacement well construction permit application to replace a failed point. The replacement well will supply both houses. The Board approved the application.
Norton, 12 Mayhew Lane (27.1-194) John Clarke came to the Board replacement well discussion regarding a failed point, located in the middle of the road, for the sub-standard lot. The Board asked that Kent Healy stake out a location for the replacement well to determine the possible separations.
Mayhew, Matt, 38 State Road (30-48.1) The Board approved a new well construction permit application submitted John Clarke which does not require variances to BOH Regulations.
Mayhew, Jeremy, 00 State Road (30-48.3) The Board approved a new well construction permit application submitted John Clarke which does not require variances to BOH Regulations.
Goldsmith, 4 Boulder’s End (7-31.2) main and guest house Title 5 Official Inspection Report received – passes
Schapiro, 20 Quitsa Lane (33-39) as built letter received, Certificate of Compliance issued
Marvel, 35 Cranberry Hill Road (20-70) Title 5 Official Inspection Report received – passes, with recommendation to pump if system is to be in service prior to approved upgrade.
Bernstein, 17 Chowder Kettle Lane (27.1-166) drinking water sample TC <1.0CFU
Solomon, 27 Old Ridge Hill Road (11-2.5) well completion report received – passes
Simonsen, 37 Flanders Lane (26-23) Marina Lent brought to the Board’s attention a pumpout permit noting that the property is served by a tight tank. A septic system plan for tank and leach filed was approved by the Board on 5/17/2006, but there is no as-built letter or plan, so the Board asked Marina Lent to follow up with the owner to determine the status of the septic system.
Temporary Food Event Permits: Chilmark Firefighter’s Picnic 8/6; MVFF 8/3. Marina Lent informed the Board that the MVFF had not submitted a permit application for tonight’s planned event. Unless the dinner portion of the event has been cancelled, they are not licensed to serve food tonight. The Board instructed Marina to look into this. If it turns out that the MVFF has held an unlicensed public food event, the Board instructed Marina to write a letter stating that, prior to any further public food events, the MVFF will need to meet with the Board to determine how to achieve compliance.
