Not present: Chuck Hodgkinson, Employee Representative, Jim Malkin, Selectmen’s Representative

Staff: Jennifer Christy, Admin. Asst., Elizabeth Rogers, Patrolman, Jonathan Klaren, Police Chief
Meeting called to order at 8:00AM
Change in Board Members:
- The Chairperson Jennie Greene informed the Board that Board Member Max McCreery informed Chairperson Jennie Greene that he has stepped down from the Board.
FY2020 Budget Proposal:
- The Board reviewed the proposed budget for FY2020 and voted to propose increases for FY2020 in the areas of Professional Development, Advertising, In-State Travel, and Dues & Membership and totaling $425.00.
Minutes:
- Oct. 4, 2018: The minutes were reviewed and approved as written.
Topics Not Anticipated by the Board at the Time of Posting:
- Chairperson Greene invited Chief Klaren to discuss the topic of pregnancy leave issues for a staff person in the Police Dept.
- Chief Klaren stated that he had received a memo from the Town’s personnel counsel regarding the topic and felt that he was satisfied with the information for now.
- The Board suggested that the topic be revisited in January 2019, if this was amenable to the staff person and the Chief, to give time for the Board to review the counsel memo and since the Police Dept. does not appear to have any pressing concerns about going forward.
- This was agreed to and the topic will be revisited in January 2019.
