Meeting called to order at 8:00AM
- The May 28, 2015 Minutes were reviewed. The minutes were approved as amended with 4 ayes and one abstention.
- HRS, Inc Compensation Plan Update:
- The Board discussed the status of the compensation study.
- The Board reviewed the June 21, 2015 HRS Compensation and Classification Study Project Update. Mr. Malkin noted that he sent the consultant an email stating that the content of the update does not include information that the Board had requested and he reiterated the information that the Board requires to be included.
- The Board discussed sending a letter to Ms. Stapcynski detailing a timeline and the necessary tasks that need to be accomplished at specific points.
- Mr. Lewenberg asked if Mr. Malkin would make a telephone call to the consultant to confirm that she is aware of and taking action on the objectives and goals of the Board. Mr. Malkin agreed to make a telephone call to Ms. Stapcynski.
- Library Dept. Request for Inclusion of Positions in Study:
- The Board reviewed the email from Library Director regarding the part-time positions at the Library.
- Mr. Malkin supported the inclusion of the library positions in the study.
- Mr. Lewenberg inquired whether the Board would consider the inclusion of any other part-time positions in the study, aside from the library. Brief discussion occurred on the topic. The Board did not take any action on this suggestion.
- At the request of the Director of the Library, the Board recommended the inclusion of the part-time positions at the library in the compensation study. Mr. Malkin requested that Ms. Christy please send this recommendation to the Board of Selectmen.
