February 2, 2012
Members Present: Jennie Greene, acting Chair, Max McCreery, Steve Lewenberg, Steve Schwab, Chuck Hodgkinson, Todd Christy, Administrative Assistant.

The meeting was called to order by Ms. Greene at 8:05 AM.
Fire Chef Longevity:
The board discussed the request from the Fire Chief for longevity. The Board reviewed the job description of the Fire Chief and concluded this was a stipend position, not eligible for longevity as defined in the HRBC Bylaws. Todd will send notice to BOS and FinCom.
Classification Manual:
The Board reviewed the changes and had some discussion regarding the actual scale used to define the grading process. Max gave a summary of the process to this point. The board will grade several job descriptions at the next meeting to check the accuracy of the new scale.
COLA Discussion with FinCom:
Max and Todd were present at the FinCom budget hearing. Max gave an impassioned speech regarding COLA for the town employees and the budget was recommended. A straw vote called by the FinCom chair of the joint committee of BOS/ FinCom. The vote was unanimous in favor of the COLA as presented.
Mr. Lewenberg commended Max, Chuck and Todd on their work on the new Classification Manual.
With no other business to attend to, the meeting was adjourned at 9:35am
