Present for the Conservation Commission and attending the meeting were: Pam Goff, Ray Kellman, Russell Maloney, PersonNameVirginia Dyer, PersonNameRusty Walton and PersonNameChuck Hodgkinson. Also attending was Janice Christensen. Richard Steves, David Flanders and Bruce Bartels were absent.
The Commission convened at 1:30 for a site visit to 3 Ben’s Way; Christensen RFD to expand a deck.
PUBLIC MEETING RFD JANICE CHRISTENSEN & ROGER CRAVER AP 13-9.6; 3 Ben’s Way: Ms. Goff opened the public meeting as acting Chairman at 2:00 PM. Ms. Christensen summarized the plan to expand an existing ground-level deck with support posts over an established lawn. The expansion is approximately 70 to 80 feet from the edge of an isolated wetland. It was noted that this wetland was not recognized when the subdivision was approved and the current house was built in 1993. The Board discussed their observations made during the earlier site visit. With no comment from the audience a motion was made for a negative determination with the following special conditions: 1. A snow fence and siltation barrier (hay bales) will be place between the activity and the isolated wetland
before work begins. 2. The construction debris will be stored in a covered dumpster or truck or, hauled away on a daily basis. The motion was seconded and passed with a majority vote of three in favor and one opposed.
ADMINISTRATION: The 7/18/07 minutes were reviewed. A motion to approve the minutes with a minor correction was made, seconded and unanimously approved.
