  • 12:30 PM:  PUBLIC HEARING SE 12 – ???; KARA SHEMETH OF SCHOFIELD, BARBINI & HOEHN FOR BRIAN VANDERHOOP; Menemsha Basin:  Maintain and license and existing wooden pier—a portion of which is in Chilmark waters within Menemsha Basin.  The applicant would also like to maintain and license three existing spiles that are also in Chilmark waters within Menemsha Basin.  Approximately 4 sq. ft. of land under water is disturbed by a total of five spiles in Chilmark waters.  The application is for the pier and spiles located in Chilmark waters off Boathouse Road; Menemsha.

NOI The Trustees of Reservations; The Brickyard; AP 14-4.  The applicant would like to clear brush and invasive over-growth on approximately 4.7-acres of the Menemsha Hills Brickyard.  The purpose is to open the Brickyard for public use and enjoyment, preserve and interpret the natural and cultural resources of the property and preserve rare and endangered species habitat within the lower and upper yards.  A 1,750 foot-long public walking trail will also be cleared to provide year-round public access to the Brickyard from TTOR’s Menemsha Hills Reservation.  A portion of the clearing work is within the second 100-foot wetland buffer zone.  Approximately 92,000 sq. ft. of disturbance will take place within the second 100-foot section of the Roaring Brook Riverfront Zone.
