  • PUBLIC HEARING NOI SE 12 - ???; REID SILVA FOR RANDOL & MARGARET        12:30 PM
WEIS; 76 Old Farm Road; AP 7-19:  Build an addition to an existing house within the buffer zone of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland.  The existing dwelling is 59 feet from the wetland edge and the closest part of the addition is 68 feet from the wetland edge.  

  • PUBLIC MEETING RFD LIL PROVINCE FOR ZACH WIESNER; AP 31-11.1:   12:40PM open and maintain a view channel for 31 Meadow Lane; Map 30 Lot 76.1 by selectively pruning a total of ten trees on property that is protected under a Conservation Restriction on Map 31 Lot 11.1.
  • DISCUSSION SE 12 – 746; CARLOS MONTOYA FOR FRANK SICA; 16 Crick Hill Rd.; AP 27.1-121:  An Order was issued in 2015 to repair the coastal bank that was damaged by a storm and relocate a boulder that was ina position to roll into the boathouse.  The bank stabilization is very successful.  Carlos would like to do the same on the bank where the bould was relocated.  Jute netting will be staked to contain erosion until the terraced planting can be done.  Is the project an incosequential change to the original project?
  • CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE SE 12 – 735; 2 Gosnold’s Way; AP 14-1:  An Order was issued in 2015 to reconfigure the footprint by moving a bedroom from the back of the house to the northeast side, renovate the house, install a new foundation under the main house and install a basement foundation under the relocated bedroom.  A screened porch will be added on top of the existing deck to the north.  The activity is within the 100-foot buffer zone of the top of the coastal bank on Vineyard Sound.  Recommend the project is in full compliance.
  • CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE SE 12 – 409; JAMES HORNBLOWER; 18 Spruce Gate Rd.; AP 35-1.7, 1.8, 1.9:  The is the original Order for the view clearing project in Squibnocket Farm.  You issued a Certificate for the current Order for the same project at the June 15 meeting.  This is needed to close out the project.  Recommend it is in full compliance and add that this Order is replaced with               SE 12 – 712.
  • CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE SE 12 – 659; GRIN ACRES FAMILY LTD. PARTNERSHIP; 15 Nickerson Farm Lane; AP 21-10, 12, 13:  This Order was issued in 2012 to re-vegetate a meadow with a wetland and stream that was cleared without a permit.  The work was done by Wilkinson Ecological Design.  Semi-annual progress reports were submitted as conditioned for the first three years.  The meadow plantings are fully established.  Recommend full compliance with on-going conditions of #3, #5, #6; Plus, on-going hand weeding of invasive species and nuisance plants and two  mowings are allowed each year -- before April 1 and after August 1.
  • CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE SE 12 –516; SCHEUER, COHEN; 267 State Rd.; AP 33-5:  An Order was issued in 2006 for a seasonal float dock located on the end of the fixed pier that was Certified at your June 15 meeting.  Recommend full compliance with the condition the seasonal float shall be installed after April 15 and removed before October 15 each year.
  • CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE SE 12 –749; SCHEUER FAMILY PROPERTIES;              267 State Rd.; AP 33-5:  This Order was replaced with Amended SE 12 – 749 to build a set of stairs to the beach on Menemsha Pond.  This Order for Map 33 Lot 5 is nullified as no work will be done on this property.  This Certificate is needed to release Map 33 Lot 5 from the Order.



  • DISCUSSION SE 12 – 767; REID SILVA FOR BRICKYARD FIELDS LLC; 0 Brickyard Rd.; Map 9 Lot 2.10:  An Order was issued in April 2016 to install buried power lines below the overhead lines. The trench will be done by a boring machine.  A different, unknown, buried power line was cut during work and temporarily spliced.  Wish to replace the power line through the existing underground vault.  Is the change inconsequential or will it require the hearing to be re-opened?
