Community Preservation Committee Minutes 08/18/10
FINAL
Present for the Community Preservation Committee and attending the meeting were:  Janet Weidner, Chairman, Andy Goldman, Karin Wetmore, Allen Healy, Tim Carroll, Jane Slater, Barbara Murphy and Chuck Hodgkinson.  Andrew Fischer and Warren Doty were absent.     

The meeting came to order at 6:00 PM.  

TEA LANE FARM:  In Mr. Doty’s absence, Tim Carroll distributed a Tea Lane Farm plan outline dated 8/17/10.  The Historical Commission’s letter dated 8/11/10 with its recommendations was also reviewed.

After much discussion the following motion was made by Mr. Goldman:  The Committee approve and support a warrant article that recommends voters appropriate $160,000 of CPA Historic Preservation Funds for renovating the historic Tea Lane farmhouse provided the Historical Commission is included in the planning, design and approval of the farmhouse renovation.  This amount may be part of the total funding needed for the project.  The motion was seconded by Ms. Slater.  In discussion it was agreed that Ms. Weidner, Ms. Slater and Mr. Carroll will review and agree upon the final warrant article language before September 7th – when the Selectmen set the Special Town Meeting Warrant.  The motion came to a vote and passed unanimously with seven in favor.   

PUBLIC HEARING:  The Committee agreed to hold a public hearing to discuss the Tea Lane Farm CPA fund recommendation on Wednesday, September 15 @ 6:00 PM in the second floor conference room at Town Hall.  Chuck H. will place the advertisements.

MEETING MINUTES:  The July 21, 2010 meeting minutes were reviewed.  A motion was made to approve the minutes with a minor correction.  The motion was seconded and unanimously approved.

NEXT MEETING:  The next meeting is September 15, 2010 @ 6:00 PM.

With no further business to conduct the meeting adjourned at 7:08 PM.
