FINAL
Present for the Community Preservation Committee and attending the meeting were: Andy Goldman, Chairman, Jane Slater, Tim Carroll, Karin Wetmore, Barbara Murphy, Andrew Fischer, Allen Healy and Chuck Hodgkinson. Janet Weidner and Warren Doty were absent.
The meeting came to order at 6:00 PM. Mr. Goldman and the Committee warmly welcomed Allen Healy as an At Large member and thanked him for volunteering his time.
HISTORICAL COMMISSION STONE WALL PRESERVATION AGREEMENT: As follow up to the December 16, 2009 meeting Ms. Slater shared a draft agreement for the Historical Commission’s use when evaluating future stone wall preservation applications. The Historical Commission will oversee the program and make recommendations to the Committee for restoration grants -- should the $30,000 appropriation be approved at the April 26th Annual Town Meeting.
The Committee liked the draft and suggested adding the restoration guidelines that were used for Phases I and II of the program.
The Committee will review the changes at the next meeting and determine the next steps.
BRUSH CLEARING ALONG THE RESTORED STONE WALLS: The Committee agreed that Jimmy Morgan did a fine job clearing the overgrown brush.
ANNUAL TOWN MEETING: The Committee reviewed its five warrant articles for voter consideration at the April 26 Annual Town Meeting and discussed commenting on each should questions arise.
MEETING MINUTES: The December 16, 2009 meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made to approve the minutes as presented. The motion was seconded and unanimously approved.
COMMITTEE CHAIR: Mr. Goldman thanked the Committee for its dedication and support over the past few years as its Chairman and announced his desire to pass the reigns and leadership to one of the other members. Ms. Wetmore was suggested as a possibility. The Committee will decide at the next meeting.
NEXT MEETING: The next meeting is May 19, 2010 @ 6:00 PM.
With no further business to conduct the meeting adjourned at 6:55 PM.
